CommCon 2023 is back! This year we're changing things up slightly for our first in person conference in 3 years! Or is it 4 years? I don't know any more... This year we're having one Real Time Communications track - so exactly what we've done before but condensed into one track and another new track around Open Media - this can be anything media related as long as you're talking Open Source or Open Standards - so whether thats On Demand video delivery using HLS or DASH, or media ingestion using SRT and everything in between - we want to hear about it.
CommCon is about Communications and it is our belief that the technologies we see as "'communications" have changed substantially over the past 3 years during the pandemic; everyone now thinks about how they communicate and interact with users differently - sometimes its real-time and others it's not.
We want to hear about everything media-related so put a talk in - nothing is a silly idea. We're open to talks and workshops as well as lightning talks but lightning talks will be decided closer to the conference itself.
As a speaker you would get a free ticket to the conference - which includes your accommodation, meals, sessions, activities but unfortunately we can't cover everyone's travel from across the globe at this time. If a sponsor comes on board to help us with that we'll let you know.
All sessions are recorded and put online instantly. Talks and Workshops are generally 40 minutes in length. You must be available for the duration of the conference 19 - 23 June 2023 and stay at the venue.
We can't wait to hear about what everyone's been working on!
